A proven QA engineer with leadership experience to build a culture of quality, working with a crack development team on a modern stack.  You’ve done it all, from building and executing manual test plans to optimizing automation to growing a QA team, and now you want to apply your passion and experience to fuel an awesome growth company.


You have a solid command of every part of the modern web app stack. You take it as your personal mission to break an application in creative ways, and to log bugs that blow brilliant developers’ minds.  You love testing every nook and cranny of an application and then figuring out how to automate that testing.


You’re adept at collaborating with engineers, designers and product managers, and you’re able to maintain a clear understanding of broader product and business goals.  We can depend on your sense of ownership to identify and drive important decisions, and to prioritize effectively.


What you’ll do:


  • Develop, iterate and own all testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports, assessing the quality and associated risk of complex functionality across all components
  • Perform functional manual testing of new & existing features to cover all UX and business use cases and performance tests
  • Evaluate, and work with engineering leadership to expand, automated test coverage based on business risk and efficiency impact
  • Ensure test planning, test framework, execution, and reporting is efficient, standardized, and coordinated
  • Log and track issues from testing; verify bug fixes and regression tests of other impacted features perform correctly; verify all releases before and after deployment to production
  • Work closely with product, design & engineering teams to help define quality criteria and quality metrics, and create specific use-case scripts to facilitate ad-hoc testing
  • Ensure the product, design & development teams understand test results with regard to passes, failures and tests still to be executed



You should be experienced in the following areas:

  • Disciplined, creative testing and test strategies
  • Creating, socializing, and maintaining test plans
  • Automated testing tools like Selenium and, including a solid foundation in how they’re best used strategically and efficiently in line with business goals
  • Ruby and JavaScript, but if you know any object-oriented language well enough, you can learn them
  • Working with an agile development team that does continuous delivery
  • Working with developers and other stakeholders collaboratively
  • Growing and managing a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great to have: working knowledge of Salesforce, particularly Service Cloud
